This project was part of the Google UX Design course, where I gained hands-on experience with the interaction design process, including conducting research, creating personas, mapping user journeys, and developing problem statements. I learned how to identify user pain points and address them effectively, enhancing the user experience through thoughtful design solutions.
To enhance my UXUI design skills, I enrolled in Google’s UX Design Professional Certification. As a part of the course, I worked on a project focused on solving the issues related to mobile ticketing for movie theaters.
I aimed to create an attractive and user-friendly interface that would make the experience smoother and enjoyable for all users.
This topic was of particular interest to me as I have personally experienced difficulties while purchasing movie tickets and wanted to improve the process through my design skills.
In order to understand user behavior and preferences, a comprehensive survey was conducted.
I selected a few of my friends, including occasional and frequent cinema-goers, in order to get a diverse range of perspectives. These interviews helped me to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in the ticket purchasing process.
To gather critical insights, conducted 30 minute one-on-one interviews with participants. The aim was to comprehend their needs, preferences, and any potential hurdles they encounter when booking movie tickets online.
“Is there domain specific knowledge to know?”
“What is the product and who is it for?”
“What do my primary user need most?”
“How can the design solution differentiate itself from competitors?”
“What‘s the problem that the design solution aims?”
“What challenges could we face moving forward?”
Depends on the information I collected, I build our personas. They are representative of potential users.
